MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

A simple massage could be the most effective way to boost the lymphatic system, one of the bodys most powerful weapons against illness and a vital component of the immune system.

The lymphatic system works around  the clock to remove cellular debris and foreign bodies, reduce excess fluid, fight infection and repair damage throughout the body.

It’s an entirely separate  network of lymphatic channels and the lymphatic fluid that passes along these chennels delivers antibodies that fight infections and removes toxins from the bodys tissues transporting them to various lymph nodes in the groin, behind the knees, in the armpits and under the chin where they are filtered out and destroyed.

The lymphatic system does not have a pump of its own, like the blood vessels which have the heart but depends on auxiliary help to move the lymphatic fluid around the body, such as exercise, breathing, muscle contractions.

About 50% of the entire population may suffer from a sluggish or weakened lymphatic system at some time and often can trigger a series of seemingly unrelated conditions from bronchitis and laryngitis to asthma, eczema, sinus trouble and cystisis.

Lymphatic congestion may happen for a number of reasons, including lack of exercise, sports injury, immobility due to illness or accidents, a damaged lymph system, high blood pressure, stress and trauma or allergic reactions. Even diet and depression can play a part.

Regular lymphatic drainage massaging helps to restore lymph flow, improve circulation, increase toxin elimination and boost the body's immune system, ultimately relieving pain and reducing fatigue. Weight loss and a reduction in swelling at an injury site can also be achieved through loss of fluid.

The OPAL TWO IN ONE SISAL DRY BODY BRUSH AND CELLULITE MASSAGER has two sides, one side with  a toning brush to stimulate circulation and the other special rubber nodules for a lymphatic massage.

After a toning brush, massaging in gentle light circular strokes starting at the throat, then under the arms, on to the chest area, stomach, abdomen, arms, back and legs to stimulate the tissues and open up the lymph nodes so waste is naturally flushed out of the body. Finally to help speed up elimination, work on the stomach again as this is where most of the fluid and toxins get flushed out.

The result of stimulating lymphatic drainage massage is a better balanced fluid metabolism, improved immune health, a beautiful skin tone and and enhanced stamina and energy levels.
