When used with Sun Screen, the SOLAR SAFE band represents and mimics the skins exposure to the suns harmful rays.

As the level of UVA and UVB exposure increases the band changes through a series of colours alerting the user to reapply sun screen or get out of the sun.

So at the beginning of the day simply coat the band with the same sun screen as applied to you and your family - appropriate to your skin types. As exposure to the sun increases, the band warns you either to apply more sun screen or that its time to seek shade.

Wear for the day - then throw away and start afresh with a new band.

But that's not all - For added peace of mind, Solar Safe doubles as an ID Wristband for children. Enclosed in each pack of 7 Solar Safe Bands is a Permanent Marker - to record a Contact Telephone Number on the back of the Band in case children get separated from their parents and family.
