Description:
Are you the proud owner of a new top of the range 42 inch Plasma TV?
You've spend hundreds of pounds, but your screens are now looking dusty, smudgy, smeary and fingermarked.
How can you clean your LCD and Plasma Screens safely and easily without damaging the delicate screens and leaving smears or smudges?
Before you spray anything on to your LCD or Plasma Screen to clean it, remember that using just any ordinary spray or wiper to wipe it can seriously damage and degrade the screens, the protective sensitive screen coatings and LCD polarisers leading to microabrasion, stress cracking, hairline scratches, yellowing, discolouring, reduced brightness and clarity and can cause the surface to become brittle, cloudy and crazed. Some coatings may even ultimately dissolve!
And once damaged the screens are impossible to repair.
Ordinary screen cleaners often contain solvents, high pH values, high conductivity values, high KH-DH values. Even water based cleaners often containing citric acid can also damage the screen, the result of the salt and acid content, and can also deposit chalky residues, which are very difficult to remove and can cause short circuiting. Some screen coatings can be so sensitive, they can even be vulnerable to the salts on your hands!
And even using the wrong cloths or dusters to wipe your LCD or Plasma TV Screen surfaces can also cause damage to the screens and screen coatings by abrading and scratching the surfaces and depositing contaminating particulates, chemicals, lint and powdery residues.
Large LCD and Plasma TV Screens are also especially vulnerable to any excessive pressure exerted, especially when trying to wipe over the surface with a cloth. Because as you pass the cloth over the surface of your screen, it is very hard to control the pressure you apply, you can so easily whether accidentally or inadvertently, apply excessive pressure without knowing and undermine and even crack the screen surface simply by a momentary and sudden jerking or overworking of the screen surface
So what do the professional Computer and TV Cleaning Specialists recommend?
The Cleansafe Pad together with the Cleansafe Spray are the perfect kit for cleaning your Large or Giant LCD and Plasma TV Screens.
That's what the professionals use and endorse!
Cleansafe Pad
The Cleansafe Pad is a unique pad specially designed by the UK's top Professional Computer and TV Cleaning Specialists to be used in conjunction with Cleansafe Screen Spray to leave screen surfaces smear free, sparkling and microclean!
The Cleansafe Pad incorporates a 5mm layer of soft foam that acts as a buffer to evenly distribute the pressure applied, so that no excessive force is applied at any point on the delicate LCD or Plasma Screen.
The replaceable velvety microfibre Cleansafe Pad incorporates microfibres 1/100th the fineness of a human hair, designed to glide gently and smoothly over the screen surface whilst lifting, capturing and removing all traces of dirt, dust, grease and fingermarks without spreading the dirt around or rubbing the dirt even deeper into the surface.
Cleansafe Spray
Acknowledged as one of the very best performing products on the market, the Cleansafe Screen Spray is a safe, non toxic, environmentally friendly spray, free of any alcohol, solvent, acid, alkali, phosphates, chlorides or ammonia with a neutral pH, low conductivity, low KH-DH and low Micro Siemens values.
The Cleansafe Screen Spray gives outstanding cleaning performance.
It loosens and lifts even ingrained dirt from screen surfaces and leaves screens smear free, sparkling and microclean!
Optically pure, cleaning with Cleansafe Screen Spray can visibly improve picture definition and colour saturation.
And the Cleansafe's conductivity values are 17% that of water, the lowest of any screen cleaner with an average µs/cm 110 compared with other screen cleaners with an average µs/cm of 500 - 600! Low conductivity values reduce the risk of accidental damage to the electronics.
The low KH-DH values of Cleansafe Screen Spray means that cleaning leaves no chalky or powdery residues.
It's superb antistatic properties and the low Micro Siemens Value up to 5 times lower than other screen cleaners gives excellent static protection and slows the build up of static dust.
Finally, the Cleansafe Screen Spray provides a protective acoustical and optically neutral nano coating that seals the surface from the environment. The nano coating means that screens stay cleaner for longer, extend the life of the screen and reduce the risk of accidental scratches and abrasion.
To use and do's and dont's
To clean your screen safely first be sure your screen is turned off. It is also easier to see the reflection off the surface when the screen is turned off.
Simply spray Cleansafe Screen Spray sparingly on to the screen and wipe off with the Cleansafe Pad.
Apply light pressure in one direction preferably top to bottom and work quickly to return to the starting point before the surface dries, never overworking the area or touching or pressing on the screens with your fingers causing the pixels to burn out
Then go over the screen again to finish and dry. Finally go round the edges and corners to ensure a sparkling streak free finish.
Never use detergents, polishes, glass cleaning products or cleaners that contain solvents, ammonia or alcohol.
Do not use paper tissue, paper towels, sponges, cotton dusters or J Cloths that may be abrasive, release lint or powdery contaminants and residues, or have chemical additives or finishes.
Replace your Cleansafe Pad regularly.

What's the difference between Plasma and LCD TV's?
In a Plasma Panel hundreds of thousands of tiny holes are sandblasted into glass and filled with a mixture of inert gases. Each cell is individually wired with electrodes that electrically heat up the gases into a superhot plasma. This plasma excites a phosphor coating to emit light in various colours.
An Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Screen has hundreds of thousands of transistor like pixels whose molecular structure and colour changes, as different levels of current flow through them.
The crucial difference between the two is that an LCD Display has to be backlit with a powerful electric bulb.
Which is better LCD or Plasma?
Whilst it lacks the punchy backlit impact of LCD and appears to some to give a softer picture, Plasma generally provides a more sophisticated image especially in a darkened or semi darkened setting where you might want to settle down and watch a film.
The blacks on a Plasma Screen are also much denser especially in a darkened room and Plasma may also offer better images when displaying fast moving sport.
Your choice of Screen may boil down to how or what TV you prefer to watch.
If you prefer to watch TV with the lights dimmed low or in the dark or if you like watching a lot of fast action sport, Plasma Screens might offer the best overall viewing whereas if you generally watch your TV in daylight or with the lights on, the LCD Screen might be the better option.
